Mainframe3D was founded in July 2025, born from a passion for 3D printing and a deep appreciation for mainframe technology and community building. Development of the mainframe models began in March 2025, and after seeing the incredible support and enthusiasm from the community (via LinkedIn), Mainframe3D was officially launched. While the project is led by me, I believe its success will come from involving others - keeping the community engaged, inspired, and contributing. To support that, I’ll be running regular competitions and opportunities for people to get involved.
